In order to preserve your beautiful vinyl floors from premature wear and tear, a maintenance program is recommended to be put in place from day one in order to keep it looking beautiful all year around.
At Cleaning Time, we can design your maintenance program that to fit around your requirements. It usually starts with the application of a specialist floor finish. Upon your Amtico floor installation we can give your vinyl floor a light wash followed by an application of two saturation’s of floor polish. After this you will be ready to enjoy your new floors in the peace of mind that they have been properly protected and maintained.
The next step of your maintenance is daily dry and wet mopping. Vacuum cleaning your vinyl floors isn’t required, in fact, it can scratch your floor. We have a special mop that, in combination with our very special solution, works wonders for collecting dust and dry particles off your Vinyl floors. We will also leave you with a bottle of our own branded neutral floor cleaner that will not only enhance the appearance of your vinyl floors, but leave a wonderful smell.
Vinyl floor restoration
Over a long period of 4 to 5 years your Amtico, Karndean or Vinyl flooring will require an intensive cleaning and possibly stripping of the old polish and reapplying a fresh coat of sealant. Cleaning Time only use the best and most durable Karndean floor finishers on the market. You can choose from matt, satin, gloss and high gloss finishes.

Karndean/Amtico & Vinyl cleaning & maintenance tips:
- Never use harsh household products as they are very likely to create irreversible yellowing staining on your floor.
- Dust mop the vinyl frequently to remove any dry soils; this will prevent scratches and dulling the shine. call us about our excellent dust mop system that we have available.
- Use a flat microfibre mop for damp mopping, not the traditional cotton string mop that leaves streaks and dulls the floor.
